3 Reasons Why Diamond Suites Is A Cut Above the Rest

Last time I was in Diamond Suites sometime early March, I thought I stepped into a usual budget hotel. I didn’t expect things to have a full turn during that day. We were attending the Big Meet UP for Cebu Blogging Community and we were all excited to meet more bloggers of the same mindset. Talking about bloggers, we don’t just write. We write for social good. Seemed cliché’? Think more than thrice. We all have our own lives, doing the daily grind and being termed by others as corporate slaves, but tell you what, we are more active online. We give a window to one’s world of being a blogger.

So what is it being a blogger then? During the CBC Ultimate Meet-up, we were enlightened on the fact that we have to be very careful with our own opinions and rants. We might be entitled FREEDOM of speech, but we, as a responsible and sensible bloggers, should have guidelines/house rules on what and when and what not to post or react. Do we earn for being bloggers? Well, it’s a YES and a NO. Yes, since some of us are empowered to monetize our blogs. Some of us do it for a living. But most of us do it for our own personal journals. Like what I did, my blog is  manifested as to what I think and perceive on most issues and happenings. Bottom line is, at the end of the day, informed and empowered people lead to informed choices [quote from Ms. Rachelle Nessia of PIA 7]

So what then makes Diamond Suites a cut above the rest during my visit? Here’s my list:

3. Congested Space? No worries! Diamond Suite offers relaxing open gardens within the building, spacious rooms and hallways. It may not be a very big building jutting out from nowhere, but the design was in tune with function and form. It’s a 3 star hotel, if you missed.

2. Out of the 102 rooms, 87 are classified as Superior and 15 are deluxe. That’s more than enough to fit in your extended family, friends and colleagues. And on top of that, there are wash up rooms that you can use for a most of 6 hours! That is definitely awesome! Imagine yourself doing shopping all day at the adjacent Ayala Center Cebu and you are sweaty and haggard all over. That’s just not pretty. Good thing, DS provides space and showers for the tired and weary shopper for a very affordable rate of 1500. Nice one, right?

1. Pool within the roof deck? Why not! Be it in the hotness of the summer sun or in the coolness of the moon, DS offers access to its wide pool that is within safety limits. It’s about chest to neck-deep [depending on your height] and offers a cool respite from a polluted and crowded street below. It closes at 10 PM and opens at the start of the day. 🙂 Bonus point will be an acoustic performer or a DJ spinning great music at night. With a view of the city lights, it is a break you would need from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind. 🙂

Here are some snaps taken from Diamond Suites’s Facebook account since I was not able to bring my own cam.

Please visit there website at www.diamondsuitescebu.com.ph or you may visit them at No. 8 Apitong cor. Escario Sts. Cebu City. Give them a ring at (6332) 402-9800 (6332) 260-0000 T/F (6332) 402-9888.

Would you know someone who is into budget hotels but don’t know where to go? Do let me know! I’ll be more than happy to help you 🙂
